Given how popular my Top 10 list from last year is (nearly 1k visits already 👀), I decided to post here the list of games from 2021 I made and posted on my Steam Curator page. #10 - Magical Waifus Academy by Wataponno
This one is the surprise of the year for me. I thought it'd be an ok game at first glance, but its solid and original game mechanics and the high quality of its pixel art left me astonished once I played it.

#9 - Fleeting Iris by Heaven Studios (Published by Kagura Games)
One of the first games I played this year and an amazing one to boot. Not only is this game's art excellent, but its story also features plenty of different, well-written routes you can take.

#8 - Love n’ War: Warlord by Chance by Reborn Entertainment
I’m not very fond of tower defense games, but I couldn’t help but love this one. Its solid gameplay, combined with its pretty art and a decent story, make this game a very entertaining one

#7 - Huniepop 2: Double Date by HuniePot
The first game is already great, but this one is even better. Its art and soundtrack are as good as ever, and the gameplay is vastly improved

#6 - Daughter of Essence by Indoor Minotaur
It surprised me in a good way. Its plot is fascinating, full of meaningful choices, and long enough to keep you entertained for days, and the game's art and gameplay are great.

#5 - The Book of Bondmaids by KamtiGames
This CYOA-styled visual novel got me hooked from the get-go. Its polished art is beautiful, its story is very engaging, and every choice is so significant picking the wrong one may entail your character's death

#4 - Robolife—Days with Aino by Barance Studio
There was no way I wouldn't include this game in the top 10. The game's story, with its mix of silly and serious moments, is very entertaining, its gameplay is solid, and its art is gorgeous.

#3 - Paradise Lust by Flexible Media
I admit its beautiful art was what caught my attention, but I ended up liking its writing the most. It's silly and full of jokes and double entendres, and the cast is so charming you can't help but love them.

#2 - Karryn’s Prison by Remtairy
This game is proof you can make great things with RPG Maker. Its game mechanics are solid and original, plus the game itself is as massive as the protagonist's rack. You can easily spend over 30 hours playing it

#1 - Dungeon Town by Circle Meimitei (Published by Kagura Games)
And this one gets the #1 spot on the list. It has loads and loads of content, solid gameplay with original mechanics, an enjoyable story, and pretty art to spice things up.
