I've been following the development of Karryn's Prison since 2018 when I beat Meltys Quest. I expected the game to be good given the quality of Remtairy's previous releases, and it singlehandedly blew my expectations out of the water.
Pros
Art is pretty and detailed

Story
Like in most gameplay-oriented games, the plot is somewhat barebones. It doesn't mean it's bad or anything since giving it a deep story with multiple plot twists would do more harm than good. It also enhances the gameplay by adding a few bits that make it better than your average excuse plot, such as changing Karryn's personality and which ending you get based on your playstyle.
Gameplay
The game mechanics in Karryn's Prison are so unique it's hard to believe it was made in RPG Maker. For starters, there are a lot of changes in the battle system, such as splitting each turn into two phases in which you apply buffs to yourself and choose your attacks and changing how HP and MP work. The devs also implemented the battle system in the sex scenes with the only difference being that you don't fight in the literal sense of the word. Instead, you try to make your opponents cum before you run out of energy by using different stances and any sex skill you learned.
I also liked the edict system, though it overwhelmed me at first. It lets you increase income, cut expenses, improve your stats, get new items, and so on by implementing different edicts depending on the difficulty. Moreover, you have to be careful with picking which ones to implement because some of them can also make the prisoners stronger or make the guards attack you in some situations.
Talking about the edicts, you can unlock different mini-games with them, such as a bartending game, a glory hole game where you "take care of the needs" of as many people as possible, a striptease mini-game, and so on. I enjoyed playing those mini-games; not only were they fun, but they also kept things away from getting monotonous
That said, the uniqueness of Karryn's Prison’s gameplay comes with a price. It's way more demanding than your average RPG Maker game, and it may crash if you're short on RAM or run slower if your CPU isn't powerful enough.
Audiovisuals
Its art is great, as it's always the case with Remtairy's games. The characters, backgrounds, and scenes are very well drawn. Karryn's overly exaggerated proportions put me off a bit, though, but I got used to them over time. As for the soundtrack, it's pleasing to the ears and very varied. It features upbeat music during battles, tense music when things go sexual, jazzy songs for the night segments when everyone is out trying to take advantage of Karryn's scandalous state, and the mandatory epic track for the final fight.
Verdict: Outstanding
Karryn's Prison is hands down one of the best H-games I've played so far. Not only does it feature original game mechanics and multiple endings, but also you can easily spend over 20 hours just in your first playthrough. Don't think twice and buy this game if you want a unique hentai game and your PC meets the minimum requirements.
