Playing the demo of My Demonic Romance back in Steam Next Fest February 2024 gave me an idea of what I could expect from the game and got me hyped for its full release. I then played the Early Access version that came out last month, and it surpassed my expectations. The game features an enjoyable story with a likable cast and full of humorous situations in which the protagonist is an average guy named Adam whose life takes a turn when Lily, a succubus who's stuck on Earth after she failed to snatch Adam's soul, appears in his life and leaves Adam with no choice but to let her live with him, help her go back home and make sure she doesn't do anything weird while she's in the human world.
Moreover, it has plenty of meaningful choices that affect how the plot progresses and its tone, ranging from a vanilla love story between a guy and his demonic girlfriend to a kinky one with NTR, sharing, group sex, and so on. It also warns you when one of the choices could lead you to some polarizing content so it doesn't catch you by surprise. For example, any choice that leads to NTR will have a red "Warning: NTR" sign between two warning icons.
Visuals-wise, the game is beautiful and features soft lines and colors that give its already hot girls an extra layer of cuteness, not to mention the utterly adorable emojis that sometimes appear in the dialogues. It also features fluid animations in the sex scenes and the characters' standing art that makes the characters look more lively and the sex scenes more enticing. What's more, the stellar voice acting in the game adds a lot to the experience.
Verdict: Enjoyable
Despite being released on Early Access with only three chapters out, My Demonic Romance is a VN that'll keep you engaged for hours thanks to its entertaining plot, likable cast, huge production values, and massive replayability. Furthermore, it has plenty of content for you to enjoy in its current state, so feel free to give it a shot now instead of waiting for its conclusion.
