Top 10 NSFW Steam releases from 2022
The time has come to post the best 10 games released on Steam last year now that 2022 is over. I'm sticking to Steam games for now because of the sheer volume of games released on Itch.io.
#10 - Magical Angel Fairy Heart by Umai Neko
It's no surprise to see a beat 'em up in the list since I'm a big fan of the genre, but Magical Angel Fairy Heart would have been there even if I weren't. Its visuals are downright gorgeous and its gameplay is fun. It'd have been higher on the list if it weren't for its issues, though.

#9 - Beautiful Mystic Defenders by Fantasize Games (published by Mango Party)
You know a game is good when it manages to stay in the top 10 list for the entire year. Not only is Beautiful Mystic Defenders as eye-pleasing as it can be, but it also is a very fun game—and this comes from someone who dislikes tower defense games.

#8 - Slime Girls Smoothies by Shady Corner Games
If there's something I like about games is originality, and Slime Girl Smoothies has it in spades. I haven't seen a match-3 game (or match-2 in this case) like this one before, plus it's fun and very eye-pleasing.

#7 - Sex and the Furry Titty 2: Sins of the City by Furlough Games
I guess I can't say anymore that I'm not a furry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Jokes aside, it's a solid and gorgeous Match-3 game that appealed to me in more ways than I'm willing to admit.

#6 - Yokai Art: Night Parade of One Hundred Demons by Secret Labo
I never thought I'd find a horny version of Plants vs. Zombies, but here we are. Yokai Art keeps the basic gameplay of PvZ while adding some different game mechanics and pretty girls for extra flavor. It is a tad too hard sometimes, but this is one of those games where I came for the waifus and stayed for the gameplay.

#5 - Hanaja’s Body by Overlord Empire LLC
Hanaja's Body is one of those games I played without knowing much about it aside from its focus on body transformation, and it surprised me in a good way. Its story is amusing, its gameplay is solid and original, and its art is charming.

#4 - Escape Dungeon by Hide Games (published by Playmeow)
Escape Dungeon 2, like Beautiful Mystic Defenders, has been on the list for the whole year because of its quality. It's undoubtedly one of the best games I played this year. While its story is nothing to write home about, its gameplay and art sure compensate for it.

#3 - Yes, My Lord by Doubles Core (published by OTAKU Plan)
Yes, my Lord was the surprise of the year for me. I played it not expecting much from it and got an engaging story, an incredibly well-done gothic atmosphere, a solid and original combat system, and beautiful art and animations. It's so good it'd have been #2 if it weren't for the occasional typos and odd-looking sentences.

#2 - Apostle: Rebellion by Kamichichi (published by Kagura Games)
Apostle: Rebellion is one of those games you can't believe it was made in RPG Maker. It has pretty solid game mechanics, an engaging story you can understand without playing the prequel, and a great mix of high-quality 3D cutscenes, well-done sprites, and beautiful 2D art.

#1 - Once Ever After by Sierra Lee
Probably everyone who has been following me these last months has seen this coming since I always mention it whenever someone asks me for recommendations. The plot is just magnificent. It gets you engrossed from the get-go, and the main character's struggles are very relatable. Moreover, its gameplay is solid and its art is top-notch.
