Nope Nope Nope Nope Nurses is the final entry in the Sakusei Byoutou trilogy, introducing some changes here and there while remaining as awesome as usual.
Pros
Engaging plot with plenty of character development
Beautiful art with no inconsistencies
The soundtrack and voice acting are as good as usual
Cons
Amamiya is annoyingly loud
Lots of flashbacks that break the flow of the story
All the male characters except for the protagonist have the same design
Story and Characters
Like in the prequel, the game starts with a short recap of the events from the previous games to remind players of what has happened in the story so far. However, the plot's structure goes from being a monster-of-the-week-ish story following Yamada's nightmarish experiences to a crime drama in which Yamada has to investigate what's happening behind the scenes in the hospital.
It also introduces the characters we got a glimpse of near the end of the second VN, such as Amamiya, an extremely loud mad scientist whose eagerness to make any groundbreaking medicines is directly proportional to her disregard for ethical practices; Otsuka, a nurse who is as physically intimidating as she's shy and loyal; Aizawa, an undercover cop searching for evidence about the shady businesses in the hospital; and the head nurse, who is by far the nastiest nurse of the bunch.
What's more, the visual novel being more plot-focused means there's a lot of character development. You learn about their motivations and what shaped them to be the way they are, often resorting to flashbacks to show their past. On the downside, said flashbacks make some scenes way longer than they should be and break the flow of the story, sometimes giving the same feeling you get when watching the classic Captain Tsubasa anime.
Audiovisuals
The character sprites and CGs are a feast for the eyes as usual, and this time, they even made Yamada's design consistent. Given the shift in the plot, the sex scenes are also different since Yamada isn't the sole focus of them. There are gangbangs featuring the nurses and featureless male characters that are identical to each other, some over-the-top girl-on-girl scenes, and the usual ones involving Yamada because he never gets a break. As for the audio, the soundtrack and voice acting are as good as ever, though I wish Amamiya's voice wasn't so loud. I had to turn down the volume every time she talked.
Verdict: A Satisfying Conclusion to a Memorable Trilogy
Saying I liked it would be the understatement of the year. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end, to the point it became one of those VNs that are impossible to forget. Sure, it's not perfect, but anyone who digs the first two games will enjoy this one too.
