Wings of Seduction: Bust ‘em out! is one of the games whose demo I played back in the NextFest from February 2024, and quickly became one of my favorites. Fast forward a few months, when the full game was released, and I was blown away by how fun it was.
The game is an engaging shoot ‘em up that focuses little on its plot, as it’s mostly there to explain the premise and give some depth to the copilots, and puts all its efforts into the other areas of the game. It feels like you’re playing a sci-fi version of Vampire Survivors in that it borrows some of its game mechanics and tweaks it enough to give it a unique spin, such as getting mods from enemies that enhance your weapons with special attributes and featuring a myriad of different strategies you can follow to win. Moreover, it also puts your concentration to the test since you have a picture of your copilot posing suggestively, who loses some pieces of clothes every time you conquer an enemy stronghold until she’s in her birthday suit.
Not everything is blasting enemies to smithereens, though. Outside battles, you can spend your hard-earned money on buying upgrades, setting up the starter weapon and special attack of your ship, and equipping any of the perks that you unlock when getting an achievement. Heck, it even includes dating sim mechanics in which the girls grow fonder of you whenever you choose them for your missions, talk to them, or give them gifts. And what do you get from this? A special scene that becomes available once their affection reaches 50.
Of course, its visuals are top-notch. It features vivid and eye-catching designs and effects that make players go “Whoa!”, detailed and nicely animated scenes that are a feast for the eyes, and gorgeous romanceable girls that make you go “Whoa, mama!” the second you put your eyes on them. Moreover, each of the sex scenes is somewhat interactive, meaning that you can adjust the speed of your thrust to match your partner’s desires and add or remove features to customize them a bit. On the downside, the game is a bit lacking in sex scenes, as there are only two per copilot.
Verdict: Engaging
Wings of Seduction: Bust ‘em out! is a solid Survivors-like game whose gameplay is so enjoyable that you’ll feel compelled to play “just one more round” for hours, and whose visual quality makes it a feast for the eyes. While there aren’t many sex scenes in the game, its gameplay and high replayability alone are enough to make it worth purchasing, as you’re bound to have a blast playing it (pun unintended).
