Have you ever thought you'd live to see an NSFW game with Scrabble-like game mechanics? No? Me neither until I stumbled upon Love and Enchants and gave it a shot.
Pros
Solid and unique game mechanics
Pretty low-poly visuals that make everything look cute
Alright plot
An enjoyable soundtrack that builds a chill atmosphere
Cons
Gets a bit monotonous after a while
Sex scenes are few and far between
Gameplay
Gameplay-wise is solid and original. The enchanting segment consists of picking 2 of the elements available and enhancing weapons by connecting the words associated with them in a Scrabble-like game and trying to get as many multipliers as possible to improve the weapon's stats. Moreover, each of them has benefits and penalties regarding what you improve. For example, words that improve Mana, Spell power, and Speed will work great on a wand in the same way those that increase Sharpness, Impact, and Defense will work on a sword.
There's a limit on how many weapons you can enchant per day, so all that's left to do when you're done is sell them. Each customer has a preference for specific stats as well as an economic status ranging from very poor to very rich. For example, you'd profit more by selling a dagger with high speed and sharpness to someone looking for those stats than by selling them a hammer with high impact and defense stats.
After that, you can spend your hard-earned money buying upgrades for your shop or traveling to different places to unlock new weapon types and elements. However, upgrades come in pairs and you can only pick one of the two, sometimes giving you hard choices like picking between extra 20 gold from each weapon you sell and a 20% extra.
Story
You play as a regular guy who inherited his grandpa's forgery that aims to get rich by enchanting any weapon he gets in his hand and selling it for a juicy profit. There isn't much plot since it's a gameplay-focused game, but what's there is lighthearted and focuses on your relationship with your more-than-eager-to-help assistants. It's told in the few different events that take place during the game, be it the ones that you unlocked in the upgrade board or the ones that take place during your travels, and it's entertaining to see how the protagonist interacts with the raccoon girl and the demon girl that work for him.
Audiovisuals
The mix of low-poly 3D environments with heavily stylized character designs may not be the best art style for an NSFW game, but it sure is cute. Moreover, it blends well with the soundtrack, giving the game a cozy vibe. However, sex scenes are few and far between, so don't expect it to be a sexfest.
Verdict: Enjoyable
I had fun playing Love & Enchants even if, sometimes, it was a bit monotonous. If a casual puzzle game with unique game mechanics and a relaxing atmosphere is up your alley, then go ahead and check it out.
