Tragedy of Medusa is a short prequel of Euryale’s Gambit that focuses on the events before the war against the Olympians and how Igret&co met the gorgons.
Story-wise it's so enjoyable I got hooked instantly despite how linear it is. You have plenty of choices during the game, but the only difference between picking one option or the other is who you have sex with in the sex scenes. Plot-wise it doesn't change anything; you'll always be too late to save Medusa, no matter what you pick.
As for the art, the recurring characters look as good as they did in the first game, and the new ones are beautiful—except for the random spartan, he's a bit in the uncanny valley. I especially liked Cassandra and Eisheth's design since they are hot and I'd 100% let Eisheth step on m—*ahem* sorry, the horniness got the best of me for a moment.
The best part about Tragedy of Medusa is most of the issues I had with Euryale's Gambit are gone, especially the lack of music. It now has a pretty good soundtrack and SFX that help you get immersed in the story. It still has some unnecessarily silent moments, but I'm willing to cut them some slack because it's still in Early Access.
Verdict: Very good
Tragedy of Medusa is a short but enjoyable VN that adds backstory to the main game. It's not finished yet, but you should check it out anyways if you liked Euryale's Gambit and you don't mind waiting until it's complete. It won't disappoint you.
