Goblin Down is a fantasy visual novel in which the protagonist meets a cute goblin named Qilka after being held prisoner in a goblin tribe. He then flies with her, marries her, and leads a happy life. That’s it, until he brought an injured orc home to heal, unaware of what was about to happen. After all, who needs ugly bastards when you have orcs?
The game is vastly different from the dev's previous game, Building Our Futature, in the sense that it's a lot shorter and only has one option throughout the game. Even so, the plot sure is entertaining. You can't help but want to see how far deep into the rabbit hole Qilka falls or if the protagonist will catch wind of what's happening behind his back. Moreover, I like that it switches from your POV to Qilkas and vice versa from time to time, letting you experience the story from the perspective of both characters.
However, where the game shines is in the visuals. The backgrounds and Qilka's design are beautiful, and the CGs are top-notch. What's more, the sex scenes are fully animated so you get to see this shortstack rascal get plowed in all its glory. By the way, they are mostly vanilla as long as you take the whole infidelity thing and that they are monsters having sex out of the equation; there are blowjobs, facials, sex in various positions, and so on.
Verdict: Decent
While Goblin Down is short and goes straight to the point in true nukige fashion, any fan of NTR looking for a simple VN you can enjoy in an hour or so will enjoy it, especially if the fantasy elements appeal to you.
