Courtship - A Dance with Love is a visual novel set in the Regency Era where you're put in the shoes of a young marquess whose father died and now has to find a bride and sire an heir.
The first thing that caught my attention is how many romanceable characters you get from the get-go; you have the four candidates the MC's mother forces the player to choose from, the maid, and the MC's childhood friend. Of course, this also comes with a myriad of choices you have to make to interact with the woman you chose as much as possible and raise the correct stats to woo her. The plot also adds some mystery by featuring an elusive serial killer who targets the nobility, though this part wasn't expanded much due to the VN's length.
The visuals aren't too different from the Daz3D graphics you find in many VNs. They are alright and the sex scene included in one of the routes is nicely animated. The ambient tunes in the soundtrack are very immersive, except for Sally's theme, whose more modern sound feels very out of place.
Verdict: Promising
It's still too soon to tell how good Courtship - A Dance with Love will be when it's finished, but I liked what I saw so far. The current version lasts about an hour, so get it if you're looking for something short to read now and don't mind cliffhangers or wait for updates if you're looking for a longer read.
