The Sudden Girlfriend Appearance trope has been around for a while and is somewhat common in anime and visual novels, but I never imagined I'd ever find one about Vtuber avatars appearing in real life. My Oshi Vtuber Jumped Through the Screen And Now we're Living Together: Chill And Vibey Beast Girl Game Streamer is the first VN of the "My Oshi Vtuber" trilogy, which puts you in the shoes of an average salaryman named Masato Kasugabe who spends his free time watching Vtube and whose life drastically changed after the avatar of his three favorite Vtubers appeared at his home and started living with him.
Its story is light-hearted and full of comedic events, focusing more on the interactions between the protagonist and the girls than on an overarching plot. Past an introductory segment featured in the three VNs, the game moves on to developing the relationship between Masato and Popota, a video game streamer who only cares about gaming, drinks Monster Ponster as if it were water, dislikes going outside, and is oblivious to anything related to love to the point she has to learn what it means to like someone. It's an entertaining read, though it's very linear and doesn't fully explain what made them appear in the real world.
Visuals-wise, the game is a feast for the eyes. The detailed and vibrant characters and backgrounds are beautiful, and the CG used in the sex scenes are as eye-pleasing as the rest. What's more, the characters' sprites are positioned closer or farther from the player to portray how far they are from each other, which is a nice and original touch. On another note, the soundtrack fits the game's tone and setting perfectly, enhancing the player's experience, and some of the pop tracks in it are so catchy you keep playing them in your mind even after you finish playing the game. Moreover, the game is fully voiced, and the voice acting is on par with the rest of the aspects of the game, quality-wise.
Verdict: Enjoyable
As its name implies, My Oshi Vtuber Jumped Through the Screen And Now we're Living Together: Chill And Vibey Beast Girl Game Streamer is the kind of Visual Novel you play when you're looking for a game to kick back and relax because of its light-hearted plot full of fun jokes, lovely characters, beautiful art, and neat soundtrack, so give it a shot if it appeals to you.
