NYO-NIN-JIMA -My New Life in Charge of a Tropical Island- is a short nukige visual novel that puts players in the shoes of an average guy named Shoichi Harama who saves an elderly man's life and loses his job after his stunt left him hospitalized for days, just for his life to take a 180º turn when said elderly man hires him to manage the island he owns and make its residents happy. The catch? All the island's inhabitants are women, and "making everyone happy" means more than helping them with menial tasks. Even so, he's too good-natured to take advantage of the situation despite everyone being thirsty for his manhood, so he needs a few not-so-subtly nudges from the family he lives with to make him more proactive at his other task: being the island's breeding stud.
The plot follows the usual nukige formula in that it's not deep and moves quickly from one sex scene to the other, plus it doesn't feature any choices. However, it excels at making players wish they were in the protagonist's shoes since every single character is more than willing to get down and dirty with him (and if you say being a chick magnet isn't your fantasy, you know you're lying). Visuals-wise, the characters and scenes in the game are straight-out stunning because of how detailed and well-drawn they are, and the voice acting in the game further enhances the experience. The sex scene mainly focuses on the protagonist and the three women he lives with, except for an oyakodon scene in which two random characters are included. Unfortunately, the sex scenes are censored and the mosaics can't be removed.
Verdict: Great for nukige fans
NYO-NIN-JIMA -My New Life in Charge of a Tropical Island- is perfect for any fan of visual novels that focus on sex and treat its overarching plot as a secondary thing will love because of the quality of its art and the many scenes it packs in the three hours it lasts. However, anyone looking for a story with substance may find it a bit lacking.
